Halsted/Pilsen has always been a great place to go. I'd like to see some wiggle room so that more artists' get paintings in their favorite spots. I haven't been to the Bridgeport area yet, however I'm on the way soon...sounds exiting. I'm in the RiverFront Work Lofts on Lumbar st. in East Pilsen, and I think this Industrial studio/lofts/and such are perfect for revitalizing the Pilsen area in the newly created creative industry area..the second Fri are already starting to hop.

Pod jr is an acolyte of Ayn Rand's objectivism, which means he can do whatever he wants, he will never consider for a second that his plan blows b/c he is financially insulated from the consequences of his assholery.

Hopefully we will see some more socially conscious artists moving (at least exhibiting) to Bridgeport. Enough with the socialites (you know who you are) and "look at me" artists....real change is needed here people! With that said, I welcome you to my home-Bridgeport. Good work Zhou Brothers and Friends!

Why would you ever keep rental rates below market price? If, in fact, the rents are below market price then the space won't sit empty once rents are raised. The fact that Pilsen is more convenient to downtown than Bridgeport means that rents should be higher there.

When will John III learn? Leaving these spaces sitting as such, he's actually driving down his own values. He could learn a thing or two from his parents.
